China’s Smart Manufacturing Wins Global Markets

China’s intelligent manufacturing sector is gaining stronger global recognition as companies expand beyond product exports to deliver smarter products and integrated solutions that meet diverse international market demands.

According to China’s General Administration of Customs, exports of high-tech products reached 5.25 trillion yuan (approximately US$775 billion) in 2025, an increase of 13.2% year on year, highlighting the country’s growing competitiveness in advanced manufacturing.

Chinese companies are introducing AI-powered consumer products that combine intelligent technologies with everyday convenience. At a recent trade exhibition in Warsaw, a rideable smart suitcase developed by Hangzhou-based Aliotop attracted significant attention. Equipped with electric drive technology, mobile app connectivity, and future AI interaction capabilities, the product has already sold around 10,000 units overseas, mainly in Europe and North America.

The trend extends to smart furniture, where Chinese manufacturers are developing adjustable desks, intelligent gaming tables, and AI-enabled massage chairs tailored to customer preferences in different overseas markets.

Beyond consumer products, Chinese manufacturers are increasingly providing complete industrial solutions. In logistics and manufacturing, companies now offer integrated warehouse automation systems, collaborative robots, intelligent sorting equipment, and digital management platforms, combining hardware, software, and after-sales services.

European companies are expanding cooperation with Chinese technology providers. Polish technology company Tech4Business has adopted Chinese service robots for cleaning, food delivery, and customer service, citing strong customization capabilities and reliable technical support.

Major international companies are also strengthening partnerships with Chinese robotics firms. French retailer Decathlon has deployed warehouse robots from China’s Geek+, while German logistics group KION has invested in Chinese robotics company ZIKOO Robotics to accelerate AI-powered warehouse automation.

Chinese industrial automation company Estun Automation has also expanded into Spain, offering industrial robots, intelligent automation equipment, and digital manufacturing solutions as part of its European growth strategy.

As innovation continues to drive manufacturing upgrades, China is increasingly competing through advanced technology, integrated solutions, and long-term service capabilities rather than cost advantages alone.
