Chinese robot vacuum manufacturers are rapidly strengthening their global leadership as AI-powered cleaning devices gain popularity among international consumers.
In the United States, users have praised the latest products from Chinese brand Narwal Robotics for their advanced capabilities, including obstacle recognition, smart navigation, and even the ability to identify and flag small valuables during cleaning.
Some users highlight lifestyle convenience features, such as remote home monitoring via built-in cameras and specialized “pet modes” that allow owners to check on animals while the robot cleans.
Technology reviewers also note significant upgrades in automation, including adaptive cleaning systems that distinguish between wet and dry messes, making operation more efficient and hands-free.
Launched in the U.S. in April, Narwal’s latest AI-enabled robot vacuum quickly ranked among Amazon’s top new releases and entered the top 10 in its category within 24 hours.
The broader industry trend reflects China’s growing dominance in the global cleaning robot market. According to customs data, China exported 7.75 billion yuan ($1.14 billion) worth of cleaning robots in the first quarter, accounting for 68.5 percent of total robot export value.
Industry data from IDC shows that Chinese manufacturers accounted for more than half of global shipments in 2025, with leading companies including Roborock, Ecovacs, Dreame, Xiaomi, and Narwal ranking among the world’s top producers.
Experts say the sector is entering a new phase defined by Chinese brand leadership, rapid innovation, and product diversification across categories such as floor cleaning, window cleaning, lawn mowing, and pool maintenance robots.
Industry analysts also note that leading companies are shifting from single-product offerings to integrated home service ecosystems, aiming to build long-term user engagement by covering a wider range of household scenarios.
