The third China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) began on Monday in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province in south China. Over 3,300 renowned brands from around the world have come together at the event, which has the theme “Share Open Opportunities, Co-create a Better Life.” The aim of the expo is to promote consumption recovery and upgrading, and to offer global firms opportunities to explore the Chinese market. More than 300 brands will debut over 1,000 products at the event, which will run until April 15.
This year’s expo will focus on four major topics: green consumption, healthy consumption, smart consumption, and fashion consumption, said Chinese Minister of Commerce, Wang Wentao. To promote these topics, a series of consumption promotion activities will be organized during the event. Wang added that the expo will facilitate strong bonds between exhibitors and buyers, invigorate the market, boost consumer confidence, and promote consumption upgrading and potential release. The expo has invited over 2,000 buyers from 35 countries and regions to participate.
Wang revealed that the expo will feature a 20,000-square-meter exhibition area specifically for domestic consumer products. The section will showcase top-quality Chinese goods.
