China Adds 7 EU Entities to Export Control List

China’s Ministry of Commerce announced on April 24, 2026, that it has added seven European Union (EU) entities to its export control list. This decision is aimed at protecting national security, safeguarding Chinese interests, and fulfilling international non-proliferation commitments.

The entities now on the list include FN Herstal, Fabrique Nationale de Herstal; OMNIPOL a.s.; HENSOLDT AG; EXCALIBUR ARMY spol.s.r.o; SPACEKNOW INC.; VZLU AEROSPACE a.s.; and FN Browning. Export operators are prohibited from sending dual-use items to these entities, and any overseas organizations or individuals are forbidden from transferring or providing dual-use items originating in China to them.

Dual-use items refer to goods, technologies, or services that can be used for both civil and military purposes, especially those that could contribute to the design, development, or production of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems.

The Ministry of Commerce emphasized that these actions were taken in accordance with China’s laws and regulations. Furthermore, China had informed the European side through the established bilateral export control dialogue mechanism before the announcement.

The new export control measures specifically target a small number of EU entities with military ties to Taiwan. The measures only apply to dual-use items and will not impact normal trade and economic relations between China and the EU. The ministry reassured that legitimate, law-abiding EU entities need not worry.

China remains committed to working with all countries to ensure global peace, regional stability, and the stability of international industrial and supply chains.
