Chinese enterprises are displaying strong enthusiasm for both organizing and participating in trade exhibitions abroad, signaling their commitment to broadening their international business footprint, announced the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on Wednesday.

In July, China’s national trade promotion system issued an impressive 748 Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission (ATA) Carnets, marking a remarkable year-on-year increase of 205.28 percent. This surge underscores the unwavering interest of Chinese companies in overseas exhibitions, stated CCPIT spokesperson Sun Xiao during a press briefing.

The ATA Carnet serves as a vital international document for temporary import-export and customs procedures. In terms of application, a total of 505 companies sought ATA Carnets last month, revealing a substantial surge of 250.69 percent compared to the previous year, as per Sun’s statement.

Further CCPIT data highlights that the country issued more than 546,200 trade promotion certificates, encompassing ATA Carnets and Certificates of Origin, in July. This signifies a notable uptick of 12.82 percent in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year.
