China’s Foreign Trade Demonstrates Resilience with 0.4% Growth in First Seven Months

In a testament to its economic resilience, China’s aggregate imports and exports experienced a steady 0.4 percent expansion, reaching 23.55 trillion yuan (equivalent to approximately 3.29 trillion U.S. dollars) during the initial seven months of the year, as per official statistics released on Tuesday.

Notably, the nation’s exports registered a positive ascent of 1.5 percent year on year, amounting to 13.47 trillion yuan, while imports observed a slight contraction of 1.1 percent compared to the previous year, settling at 10.08 trillion yuan, as outlined by the General Administration of Customs.

However, the data also unveils a temporary dip in foreign trade activity during the month of July, recording an 8.3 percent year-on-year reduction.
